In 2017, while I was on maternity leave with my first child, I was wanting a hobby or something to occupy my time while being home so much. If you are a mom, you know how lonely these days can feel. I had always been interested in handmade wood signs, so I purchased my first Cricut and taught myself how to make stenciled signs (there was a lot of trial and error for this part). Fast forward to 2020 and my second maternity leave, I was starting to feel like I had reached my potential with painted signs, and I was longing to try something new. I would add a scroll saw to my online shopping cart numerous times, chicken out and then close the window until I finally had enough courage to follow through with the purchase. Once it arrived, it took months to cut a straight line, or do an inside cut. In 2021, I had saved enough money and grown my confidence as a maker to purchase my Glowforge.

I work as a full time social worker so my time for orders is limited. Most days, I spend my lunch break sending out proofs, or running home to take stock photos and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I work on all my orders during nap times on the weekend, and after the kids are in bed during the week. Everything that comes out of my shop is made by me, for you
